Artist Statement

​

Art, for me, is built on the foundation of success and failure, especially as a printmaker, graphic designer, and encaustic artist. My art and ideas on art have changed throughout the years. I am currently exploring how to incorporate semiotics, symbolism, and iconography within my work. Since, recently discovering encaustics, which has transformed how I do printmaking. Mostly a monoprinter that usually works in oil, watercolor, and mixed media; I have incorporated my love for encaustics in my art, which is currently being experimented with. As for graphic design, since I love printmaking, it seemed to play and understand the medium through a digital aspect. It has been an exciting process to learn, and glad I have learned. Most of my bodies of work tend to play with color, texture, aesthetics, and symbolic meaning.
